The Suite 150: A Big Band Portrait project was a unique collaboration between big band jazz musicians from across Canada. The Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra commissioned eleven Canadian big band jazz composers to submit music to be included in a multi-movement work designed to capture Canada's multicultural heritage and distinct regional differences as a celebration of our country. Each movement of the suite reflects some aspect of Canada or being Canadian.
